Free Summer Program Features Inspiring Oklahomans and Local Partnerships

OKLAHOMA CITY – JUNE 3 – Free summer fun is back at the Oklahoma Hall of Fame | Gaylord-Pickens Museum. Attendees of Summer Thursdays can enjoy free admission in addition to free crafts, art projects, games and story time from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursdays in June and July. Activities are available for all ages.

Each Summer Thursday will have a different theme and feature an Oklahoma Hall of Fame Member. Themes will include: dinosaurs, brains & brawns, construction, the Olympic Games, and many more. Additionally, the Oklahoma Hall of Fame is proud to partner with Oklahoma Chiller on June 20 and the Oklahoma City Thunder organization on June 27 when the Rolling Thunder Book Bus will be on site.

 

"Summer Thursdays at the Oklahoma Hall of Fame offer a great opportunity for families to learn more about inspiring Oklahomans who have shaped our state," said Anna Studstill, Director of Museum Experience. "Each week we will celebrate a different Oklahoma Hall of Fame Member through crafts, games, and story time. And admission is completely free!"

Summer Thursdays are a come & go event; registration is not required for families planning to attend. However, to ensure appropriate amounts of craft/art supplies and space during story time, daycares and child care facilities are asked to register ahead of time online: Summer Thursdays - Oklahoma Hall of Fame.
