A CONVERSATION WITH TULSA NATIVE, R. JAMES WOOLSEY, TO BE HELD OCTOBER 8

Clayton Swope with the Center for Strategic & International Studies (CSIS) will host a fireside chat with R. James Woolsey on Tuesday, October 8 at CSIS in Washington, D.C. to discuss Woolsey's distinguished career in national intelligence, energy and security. The conversation will also cover the newly-released biography, Guarding the Future: The Life of R. James Woolsey, published by the Oklahoma Hall of Fame. Starting the evening will be be a series of speakers including Lt. Col. David Stuckenberg, Lt. Col. Josh Grindstaff, Mr. Ben Woolsey (R. James Woolsey's son), and Gini Moore Campbell, Oklahoma Hall of Fame vice president and publisher of the book.

FREE FAMILY FUN OFFERED ON SECOND SATURDAY AND OVER FALL BREAK

Explore, learn and discover on Saturday, October 12 at the Oklahoma Hall of Fame! Families can take advantage of free admission into the Gaylord-Pickens Museum the second Saturday of every month for Second OHOF Saturdays. Free activities are available, featuring an Oklahoma Hall of Fame Member. Open 9 AM – 2 PM. To learn more visit https://www.oklahomahof.com/program/second-ohof-saturdays.

On October 16, 17 and 18, families can enjoy FREE admission and fall-themed activities at the Oklahoma Hall of Fame. The annual "Fall Y'all" program provides themed crafts, art projects, games, story time and more at no charge. Activities are available for all ages from 10 AM till 2 PM each day. $6,000 SCHOLARSHIP AVAILABLE FOR HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS

Applications for the Oklahoma Hall of Fame Scholarship are due by 5:00 PM on Friday, October 18. This $6,000 scholarship is awarded annually to one Oklahoma high school senior. Based on the student's leadership roles, civic/community involvement, academic achievement and knowledge of our state, the scholarship is open to all high school seniors who are seeking to further their education at an Oklahoma university or college following graduation. SECOND CENTURY BOARD SEEKING ENGAGED YOUNG PROFESSIONALS FROM ACROSS THE STATE

Young professionals from across the state are encouraged to apply to the Second Century Board by Friday, October 25. The Second Century Board is a group of young professionals, 40 and under, dedicated to supporting the mission of the Oklahoma Hall of Fame to tell Oklahoma's story through its people. The board supports free educational and culture programs at the Oklahoma Hall of Fame by hosting an annual fundraiser, volunteering and holding outreach events with inspiring Oklahomans.
