TULSA, OK - OCTOBER 6, 2026: The Oklahoma Hall of Fame hosted a luncheon at the OU-Tulsa Schusterman Center on Thursday, October 1 as part of its Road to 100 event series. As the organization approaches its centennial in 2027, it is hosting luncheons in 13 different cities and towns to celebrate 100 years of impact, promote educational programs, and connect with Oklahomans from all corners of the state.

Tulsa event co-hosts G.T. Bynum, H.J. Reed, and Suzanne Schreiber welcomed luncheon guests on Thursday. President & CEO Shannon L. Rich spoke about the work and accomplishments of the Oklahoma Hall of Fame in the Tulsa area, as well as the organization's plans for the future.

Since 1927, the Oklahoma Hall of Fame has honored the stories of remarkable individuals who have called Oklahoma home. With a focus on expanding access to educational and historical resources, the Oklahoma Hall of Fame provides classroom curriculum, free Museum tours, book donations, scholarships, and more. By touring the state, the organization aims to amplify the unique stories and spirit of each community and better connect communities with its free educational resources.

“I support the Oklahoma Hall of Fame because of its commitment over decades to honoring the lives of Tulsans who helped shape our state — both through the Hall of Fame itself, and through telling their stories in books," said Road to 100 Tulsa District Co-Chair G.T. Bynum. "If you want to be inspired by the lives of our neighbors past and present, there is no better resource than the Oklahoma Hall of Fame.”

During the event, Nicole Hopkins, a former chair of the Oklahoma Hall of Fame's Second Century Board of young professionals, spoke about the many ways the organization connects everyday people with remarkable Oklahomans and the mentors she found through her time with the Second Century Board.

Oklahoma Hall of Fame Inductee Jim Stovall (Class of 2021), known for his work as an author and entrepreneur, shared his story and what induction into the Oklahoma Hall of Fame means to him.

As the event came to a close, the Centenarians of Oklahoma, a nonprofit dedicated to honoring Oklahomans who turn 100, recognized the Oklahoma Hall of Fame as an Honorary Centenarian.

The Oklahoma Hall of Fame Road to 100 celebration will continue in other towns and cities across the state thanks to support from Statewide Honorary co-chairs and Oklahoma Hall of Fame Inductees Tricia Everest (Class of 2019), Christy Everest (Class or 2004), and Vince Gill (Class of 1997) and District co-chairs from each stop on the tour.

The next Road to 100 luncheon will take place in Durant, Oklahoma. For more information about the Road to 100 visit the Oklahoma Hall of Fame website. Those interested in attending an event should sign up for updates at the bottom of the webpage.
