Oklahoma Hall of Fame's "Oklahoma Originals" Partners with OKCPS to Share Ralph Ellison's Story

OKLAHOMA CITY - OCTOBER 23, 2025: The Oklahoma Hall of Fame has partnered with Oklahoma City Public Schools (OKCPS) to bring the Oklahoma Originals program to every third grade student this school year, reaching more than 2,400 students in the Oklahoma City metro area between September 2025 and May 2026. The Oklahoma Originals program tells the story of an Oklahoma Hall of Fame Member through free history lessons, art activities, and books. The collaboration is part of OKCPS's focus on community relations and partnerships, and it supports OKCPS's goals of ensuring foundational literacy remains a top priority, increasing reading proficiency and promoting equitable access to fine arts.

OKLAHOMA CITY – SEPTEMBER 23, 2025 – The Oklahoma Hall of Fame welcomes 46 high school students to serve on the 2025-2026 Oklahoma Hall of Fame Teen Board. The selected students represent 35 high schools from across the state and meet throughout the school year to learn about Oklahoma's history and people while supporting the Oklahoma Hall of Fame's educational programs.

OKLAHOMA CITY – SEPTEMBER 16, 2025 – Fifteen Oklahoma artists are featured in a new art exhibition on display at the Oklahoma Hall of Fame | Gaylord-Pickens Museum. Pieces + Patterns: Modern Oklahoma Textiles opened on Saturday, September 13 in the Tulsa World | Lorton Family Gallery. This quilting and textile exhibit explores how contemporary artists are transforming fiber arts traditions. A free artist reception will be held on Thursday, September 25 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Attendees are invited to meet the artists and view the exhibit. Drinks and light snacks will be provided.

$6,000 Scholarship Available to Oklahoma High School Seniors

OKLAHOMA CITY – AUGUST 1, 2025 – For the 15th year, the Oklahoma Hall of Fame will be awarding the Oklahoma Hall of Fame Scholarship to one Oklahoma high school senior. The $6,000 scholarship is awarded based on the student’s leadership roles, civic and community engagement, academic achievement, and extracurricular involvement. The chosen recipient will be recognized at the annual Oklahoma Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony in November.

Oklahoma Born & Brewed Brings Together Breweries from Across the State for a Great Cause

OKLAHOMA CITY – JULY 7, 2025 – Oklahoma Born & Brewed is celebrating 11 years! This annual fundraiser, presented by the Oklahoma Hall of Fame's Second Century young professionals board, will be held Friday, August 15, 6:30-10:00 p.m. The event features breweries from across the state, providing guests with a unique tasting experience "born & brewed" right here in Oklahoma. All proceeds benefit the Oklahoma Hall of Fame's educational and cultural programming, allowing thousands of Oklahomans to have access to free Museum programs.

Art Exhibit Featuring More Than 50 Oklahoma Artists On Display Now

OKLAHOMA CITY — JUNE 17, 2025 — The Oklahoma Hall of Fame, in partnership with the Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition (OVAC), presents the 2025 OVAC Members Show, on display June 7 - August 2 in the Tulsa World | Lorton Family Gallery at the Gaylord-Pickens Museum. This exhibit features a stunning array of 2D and 3D works by more than 50 artists from across Oklahoma.

OKLAHOMA CITY – MAY 29, 2025 – Free summer fun is back at the Oklahoma Hall of Fame! Attendees of Summer Thursdays will enjoy free admission to the Gaylord-Pickens Museum plus free crafts, art activities, games and story time. The program runs 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursdays in June and July. Activities are available for all ages, but primarily focused on ages 3-10.
